GRACE'S CHOICE - PUBLICATION DATE 25th JULY 2022
          
          After 5 years of work; between writing, editing, hiring and implementing beta readers recommendations, and getting Ireland's top literary editor to do comprehensive editing work, I am now delighted to announce Grace's Choice will be self-published in just three weeks on the 25th July 2022.
          
          This is the spiritual successor to CAIN, and while it is not a sequel, it has the same genre, style, black humor and similar characters that everyone loved with Cain. In fact, one of the beta readers who has proofread all my books, said Grace's Choice is in many ways an even better book than Cain. I guess I will leave you to be the best judge of that!
          
          I will be announcing Amazon and likely Barnes and Noble print and ebook links on my profile when it has been released. Barnes and Noble have a sales contract with me and have taken approximately 50 copies of each of my three previous books in the past. Once again, I want to thank you all most sincerely for your continued support and love of my books, for without you; my Wattpad followers, none of this would be possible. :-)

I have finished implementing editor's recommendations (Brian Langan) on my fourth novel "Grace's Choice" as of 1st July 2021, and am preparing to submit to publishers and literary agents. It has been reviewed by several beta readers, and this is its 5th and final draft.

          After three months of audio production and over 100 emails of correspondence between myself and Philip, I have made sure Cain is at its best in audio. Listening time is just under 8 hours. I decided not to include the footnotes that appear in the eBook and print versions as they are for historical reference and would cause a break in the flow of the story. I hope you will enjoy it as much as you have liked the text versions. Thank you.
          
          On a separate note, an American book-chain ordered a large print quantity last month of my book "Legacy." I believe it is likely Barnes & Noble as they previously ordered Cain and Dark Messiah. I tried to find out for certain but IngramSpark who produced the copies will not reveal because of a confidentiality agreement. I would be extremely grateful if any American Wattpad members might be in Barnes & Noble and are passing, might check the fantasy section to see if any copies are there, and please let me know. Chosen Professional Editor for my book "Grace's Choice."
          
          I have secured the services of Ireland's top literary editor BRIAN LANGAN to perform structural editing (pacing, chapter analysis, characterization) on my novel "Grace's Choice." He is so busy that the only free slot I could get was this August and he is expected to spend about two weeks editing and making recommendations, if any. Chosen Audio Producer for my acclaimed novel "Cain."
          
          After listening multiple times to nearly 30 auditions from Broadway and screen actors, (including the guy who does the voice of the cat in Sabrina The Teenage Witch!) I have secured the services of the award-winning Audio Producer (Screen Actors Guild) Philip Battley to make my acclaimed book "Cain" into Audio, expected release April 2020. Philip has worked on the Netflix series "Mia and Me" and starred in Downton Abbey, among many others! My novel "Cain" was published in July 2015 and is still being read and purchased today...nearly five years later!

Important Writing / Publishing Updates:
          
          Hi, I wanted to post updates as regards my current portfolio of books and moving forward with providing information and greater access to my works. As mentioned in July of last year, I finished the first draft of Grace's Choice at 79,000 words and have since spent five months carrying out comprehensive editing and proofreading on same, finishing just last weekend. Unlike my three other books, I have decided to get a paid professional editor to edit the book and will be sending out multiple copies to beta readers for assessment. This I believe will give the novel the best chance for approval with mainstream publishers . Through LinkedIn which I now have over 6,000 contacts I have established connections with many literary agents and one particular senior agent who was a former vice president of HarperCollins who seems very interested and has kept in constant contact with me over the last year. The book for the moment will still feature the pen-name of Alison Black, but will likely revert to my own name, especially if I self-publish. It is in the same vein as Cain featuring a central biblical protagonist and I feel it is my strongest and best work to date, though I will let you and other readers let me know that! :-)
          
          I have also begun registration with ACX, the audio branch of Amazon and intend to make Cain my first book into Audio. This will be a primary focus of early 2020 and hope to make it a reality as soon as possible. I then intend to make audio works of Dark Messiah and Legacy. Cain was self-published in July 2015, nearly five years ago and as of today it is still being read and bought in Amazon and other outlets which is amazing and I am incredibly grateful to everyone for this. I especially want to thank all my Wattpad followers for their continued interest and support, it is greatly appreciated and never taken for granted.
