Now Roja had her own things to do, she had been writing letters and dealing with some rather nasty business in her office. Being the lady Aglo was hard work, it wasn't just parading around as a pirate queen, she had an island to run and other errands to care for. So she was stuck doing her work even as she was docked at a nearby port, they had to stop to get supplies then they'd stop at Roja's destination to pick up important cargo then back to Aglo. She had already been in a foul mood due to some business with her ex, however she pushed it away. It was a future Roja problem.

She sat in her quarters enjoying the silence and a bottle of rum, working away until she heard some people start boarding. Judging from the voices it was her crew along with one stranger. They were talking about allowing him to ask for passage to Aglo with them, and it just got closer and closer until she  noticed them just outside. She could tell they were talking about her since they spoke if their captain, however they also spoke quite vaguely about her. Either way the disturbance was stepping on her nerves, and they were about to tell the man to just walk on in. How immensly irritating. So, she grabbed her hat, put it on and stood by the door. She figured she'd give everyone a little scare with her special ability.

"You shouldn't have." She warned him, her brows furrowed as she set her drink down.  By now other sailors were starting to turn away to avert their eyes, they knew of her temper, and they knew eventually someone would calm her. But right now they weren't going to be the one to do it. "If you're curious, once we drop you off at your destination, ask. Someone there will tell you." She knew by now that enough people had their versions of her story, maybe if he wanted clarification after she was comfortable that may result in her clarifying. But she wasn't about to into dump all that on him.

"I expect all people on my boat to know when to hold their tongue, and they should know better than to get drunk enough to forget that." She retorted, her wild green eyes settling on his face ask she scolded him.

"I just asked." Not to get defensive at all. In fact, it was probably the first time he seemed to take anything seriously. He knew hardships. He has had his fair share in them. And he knew very well how hard it is to get to a place like this after going through hell and back. Her reaction even confirmed it. The work and sacrifice she'd given for this. "I meant no offense. I was just curious. It's something I always ask meeting people who'd clearly stared death in the eyes and had the balls to spit in his face."

He wouldn't give sympathy. Not unless he wanted to get a tooth kicked out. No. He'd give her his respect and understanding. For the time. "Come on, don't let a literal son of a bitch and beastar upset you. A drunk one at that. My curiosity just got the better of me." He at least tried to make light of it. Despite how thick this atmosphere became. He'd avoid a pointless fight so soon if he could. Koujaku didn't feel like drowning just yet.

The merriment stopped when he asked that question as the two if them were met with sudden silence and prying eyes. These men knew that answer, and they knew it wasn't a good one. "You haven't earned that fucking story." Her tone dropped all of a sudden, this was more than a sore memory judging by everyone's reaction. The story of an adventurous young woman who married the brother two the king without knowing who had died to ensure that, the woman who was haunted by visions until she left a house burnt in her wake as she ran off.

"A woman works her ass off to get here, and she kills, and fights, and destroys to ensure the survival of her people and children. That's how I ended up in this life." A hand pushed back on his chest as she looked him dead in the eyes, she wasn't violent but what she had said was a clear warning. She was willing to make him miserable or kill him if he kept that shit up. He hadn't earned that story, so she wouldn't tell it.
