How do you feel about a werewolf book exploring the idea that justice is more important than love?
After all, survival trumps emotions and living in a group is essential to more than the niceties of civilization. There will always be threats, a "them" against "us" and being able to live cooperatively means we can have a larger US against whatever 'them' may threaten any of us.
Living together means there must be rules and a sense of fairness, of justice that everyone can live with.
When 'justice' tags the wrong person though, it isn't really Just. There are chances to correct the error... and consequences grow the longer it takes to do so.
