Hi I just now completed the "utterly forgettable" book.Wow! what a story!!!! It's very amazing.The characters are very good.It was good from the start but I liked the last few chapters very well.If u don't mind can you tell me what happened to Zoe and Dan in the end??

          I hope Friday is treating you well. 
          
          This is a quick note to let you know I've just unpublished Singular for the time being. 
          
          I'm going through an internal upheaval, of sorts, and that means I'm not in the frame of mind to be writing right now. As Singular only had the one published chapter so far, it made more sense to me to unpublish it than to let it sit there looking abandoned. 
          
          I'll let you know when I come back from my pause.

          Hope you're doing well. A lot has happened in the world in the past week, and I feel the need to say I hope you're safe, wherever you are, and, if you're not safe, that things improve substantially in as short a time as possible.

For now everything that's up there is unlocked, and I haven't migrated most of my writing yet, but that should happen in the next week or so (fingers crossed). And it's up to Rin to rely on the myriad practical skills he's developed over the years to keep them both alive. He cannot, will not fail.

Hi everyone. I hope you're doing well.
          
          I had expected my next announcement here to be about this year's ONC, but I didn't think it would be about me not doing it.
          
          The ONC used to be my favourite time of the year on Wattpad. I started writing original pieces for ONC 2020; placed 3rd in ONC 2021; this year I was going to enter again, cheer friends on, have them cheer me on, enjoy the hype, the community, the camaraderie, and the amazing novellas that were bound to be written.
          
          One look at this year's predatory rules changed all that. If you're planning on entering, I strongly urge you to read the contest's rules and reflect on what you're being asked to give away. Just by entering, you're granting Wattpad (and whoever they transfer those rights to) the right to use your likeness, name, city and country of residence, social media handles, and any videos you create for the  story, as promo materials. That's a blank cheque forever -- you get no say in how they use it.
          
          Then we move on to the winners. The grand winner gets a one year Wattpad Premium subscription ($60 value) and the runner-up gets a month ($5). And, for that, you grant Wattpad the right to use, adapt, alter, licence, basically do whatever they want with your novella, including changing it, without your agreement or further compensation. They could, in theory, turn it into something you abhorr, because they ask you to waive your moral rights, something even traditional publishing contracts don't require.
          
          Please, read those rules carefully. Make your choice knowing what you're getting into, what you stand to gain, what you have to lose. And, at the end of the day, do what's right for you, with eyes wide open.
          
          I'm not entering, not with these rules. But I'm going to miss the ONC as it was in the last two years at least (I didn't know it existed before).
