Evan McMann

Hello Wattpad.

My name is Evan McMann, or mcmaz1ng, or Tainaka, depending on where you know me from, but you can call me any of those things.

A long time ago -and I mean a LONG time ago- I began writing my first story on here: The Genderbending of Haruhi Suzumiya. It has been probably a little over a year and a half at the point I am writing this since I have added a new chapter to that story. I do not intend to quit, however. I fully plan to continue writing it. First I have to do a lot of research before I begin again. It has been quite sometime before I watched anything Haruhi related and I do not feel like I can efficiently depict Kyon as a character anymore. Not until I begin watching and researching his behavior, speech and thought patterns again like I did  way back when I began that project. So I will begin to write more, and even revise the story as it is now to bring it up to the standards I have set for myself as a writer, now in college, far from the days as a high school sophomore when I began writing TGOHS.

In other news, I have recently, over the past year, been writing an original story that has been churning in my brain since I was in elementary school. It has currently amassed four completed chapters, and I am writing the fifth one as we speak. 

I will probably put the first four chapters up here as a bit of a teaser, as a plan to finish the novel and pursue publishing!

The title of the story is "The Awoken" and it is a bit of a dystopian, sci-fi fantasy journey, taking place in a world divided by wars and ideals

After the suspicious death of his father, Nathaniel Jericho moves to the country-like supercity of Grandzal, where his father and grandfather were born. There his capabilities as a citizen and potential soldier are tested, and he is thrown into the position of defending a nation he knows almost nothing about, all the while trying to uncover the truth behind his father's death, the government's ambitions, and what it is to be Awoken.
