Mark Brendan

Many years ago I wanted to be a writer for a living, but by accident became a game designer who did a bit of writing instead. Now trying to flip that and become a writer who does a bit of game design.

Started out as a staff writer on Games Workshop's White Dwarf magazine in the mid 1990's, did some other sci-fi and fantasy tabletop stuff after that, including working on games like Warzone, Chronopia, Void 1.1 and Celtos. Also published a couple of short stories through GW's Black Library imprint which have since featured in anthologies.

Then I spent a few years as a video game designer working at companies like Climax, Codemasters and Vivendi.

Always preferred doing it for myself to working for the man though, so I'm back to writing fiction again, and doing tabletop game Kickstarters. Currently live near Dublin, next to a farm, so that's nice.
