A few weeks ago, I made a small announcement on my Instagram, that I would post a little sneak peek of the sequel to 'Olivia and Ricky's Odyssey to Rock Bottom', which I'm working on. So go check out the prologue to the coming bool, at the end of 'Odyssey to Rock Bottom'. No coins are required as it's a free chapter for you to enjoy.
          	Happy Holidays, everyone. ❤️

@Jimmygim That’s so sweet of you. I don’t feel I can take all the credit as Wattpad does its thing too. =)

@MariaJoWrites You're killing it! It's hard for a novel to resist so much time among the top ones!

Please mamí, when are you going to publish the sequel? At least an additional chapter

MariaJoWrites

@janat1021 I don’t have a timeframe, unfortunately. And I’ve not been writing for a good while because of a whole host of health issues that’s plagued me for almost 6 months (on top of that I got the flu yesterday, sigh). But I’ll take your request into consideration. Thank you for the interest, that’s very sweet and encouraging, especially since I know I’m slow at writing.

Why haven’t you written another story

MariaJoWrites

@bless84ing Because I’m slow. =D It took me 10 years to finish Olivia and Ricky’s Odyssey - book two is not anywhere near ready. Also life happens as it does for all of us. But I’m very flattered that you’re so eager for more of my writing, that so sweet. =)

How did you get your story to become so out there? Can you please give some tips to a new writer!

vampful

@MariaJoWrites no youre a lot of help, thank you!!

@vampful It's sort of a lucky happenstance. Some years ago, you could apply to be featured on the home page, which I did. Because of that, Wattpad contacted me and offered my book a place in their Paid Stories program, which was under development back then, instead. Neither of those things is an option today, unfortunately, so I honestly don't know what it takes now. So it's not that my book is super popular (not in my head at least), it's that Wattpad happened to "discovered" my book at the right moment. Sorry that I can't be of any real help.

Can I ask you something?

MariaJoWrites

@Emo_girl3365 Of course. You can pick and choose what information you find useful. Just let your imagination run free and let the book inspire you to discover details that help form your characters. =)

okay, so. Your character concept book, does that go for all fandoms? Like for an OC?

@Emo_girl3365 Sure. I might not be able to answer, but go ahead. =)

MariaJoWrites

Thank you, dear. Crazy that you remembered it’s today, but then not surprising either, as you’ve always been so supportive. ❤️

You guys, yesterday, Olivia & Ricky's Odyssey reached a bit of a landmark. 250.000 reads. That's 1/4 to a million. That's some insane numbers to me. And it's all because of each and every one of you, who's giving my book a chance - whether it was simply checking out a single chapter, reading as far as the paywall goes, or giving the entire book a read (and for some of you, re-reads). I owe each and every one of you a big thank you. ❤️
Back when my book was invited to be part of Wattpad Next Beta -now Paid Stories- the book had 8000 reads, so to see how much it was grown since then, is amazing.
Thank you to everyone who's helped Olivia and Ricky's story grow. More of their journey will come at some point, but you need to be very patient, I'm afraid.
