Hey! Thanks for stopping by.

I started inventing stories and worlds as a child and haven't stopped. Finding novels which beguile and bewitch me before pulling me head and heart into their world is what I look for as a reader. Trying to create these stories is what I aspire to as a writer.

My work comes in various forms and lengths, including some novels, but also microfiction, flash fiction and short stories. I also write poetry, being especially fond of haiku.

I have published "The Disappearance of Louis Scully" in its entirety here and the first part of "Archipelago". I'm testing the waters with Wattpad and want to see if there is an audience for my work. Let me know if you want more!

Apart from writing, I have a family, a greyhound and a full time day job, which means I'm pretty busy...

I was shortlisted for the 2019 Grindstone Flash Fiction Award and have work published in a number of journals and anthologies including #VSS365 Anthology 2019, Fevers of the Mind and Applicious.

If you like my writing, I also write on Twitter (@EverexJohn) and publish work regularly on my blog (http://johneverex.blog ). I'd love to hear from you!
