            yes !  though I’m not his child by blood . he sorta adopted me . I’m human &a he’s a vampire.

            raising her brow she noticed he had quite the attitude to him.   well then two could play at that game.  “    yes actually , my father named me after one of the most prominent of the Muses.    ” she said softly. 
            “  the nine sister goddesses who in Greek mythology presided over poetry, song, and the arts and sciences. right ?   ”   the girl gave a small smirk.  she knew what he was talking about , calli was actually behind a grade , she was smart enough to being in third or fourth grade actually.  but her father made her stay back because socially she wasn’t great.  was always the quiet girl who always star by herself either reading or doing work. wasn’t one to party or go play tag or hopscotch like the other kids.      “     well then ,  if you are so bored of this conversation.   then we can kindly end it.  I’ll tell the teacher to find someone else to lead you around the school.      ”    the little girl said with a bored tone.   giving a small eye roll she then opening the book she was reading ; shakespeare. one of her favorites. turning her attention to the front she acted like he wasn’t their for the rest of the morning.     - a reason why she didn’t socialize. she always got the rude or snobby kids.  no one ever nice or somewhat welcoming.   after their first class was over the bell has rang, it was time for them to go to their next class.   grabbing her things she then made her way to the front of the room to tell the teacher that she wouldn’t be the best person to show James around.

            turning his head slightly to glance at her , the boy gave an apathetic stare , his dark rimmed eyes narrowing slightly with exhaustion . the boy was paler than he probably should be , his blonde hair popping out even more than before . he observed her closely , his eyes dull and sharp . though he was younger than her , large parts of him seemed more mature than your average enthusiastic six year old . on the enthusiasm scale , the small boy currently sat in the negatives . " calliope . . . " he repeated slowly , his voice lighter than expected , a slight british accent being heard . " as in the muse ? " he asked , eyebrow raised slightly as he quietly questioned the girl . he shook his head quickly after , realizing that most first graders probably wouldn't know the word . " can't exactly say the same for you . if i felt nice , we'd be having a different conversation . " he commented dryly . he probably wouldn't be using the nickname anytime soon . he didn't intend upon sticking around first grade for very long . " i'm from london . why ? "

            calli wasn’t one to be right in the front in her classes.  sure she was a smart girl, but when it came to socializing, that was something she didn’t like to do.  when she heard her name called from her teacher she looked up from her book she was reading and met the eyes of the boy now sitting next to her.  “    oh um sure....    ”    after her teacher nodded and continued on with the morning announcements ; the little girl looked over.   “     hi james , it’s nice to meet you.  I’m calliope ripper.    ”  she said quietly with a small smile.   closing her book she was reading & drawing in she turned to face him.  “    but you can just call me calli , it’s easier .      ”   the young girl added .      “    so where you from ?     ” she then asked tilting her head slightly.
