Belated congratulations to our June FBE winners for the most active member: @Kadra_Writes and our Flex champ draw @tsabins . Thank you for all your hard work in the club. To all our current Book Exchange members, we will have these prizes and draws at the end of this month as well, and I'll try to be more timely with my shoutouts.

@Kadra_Writes has a great sci-fi story called 'Loud Minds' which features Ashton, who's going through her junior year of high school when a sudden accident pulls her into the world of the GENE, a secret society that creates mutant humans. The story has an intriguing take on superpowers and definitely leaves you questioning whether GENE is truly using their forces for good as they claim they are. It's also complete so it's a great story to check out!

I'm getting notifications from yours though I'm not reading your books nor following you. Why?

midnightclawlover

@FlexBookExchange Yeah it's a glitch. Thank you; I'll contact Wattpad.

@midnightclawlover that does sound odd. If you added one of our books to your library by accident then that may explain the notifications. You could try checking to see if either of our books is in your private library and removing them might get rid of the notifications. If that doesn't work, you may want to submit a ticket to wattpad about it because it sounds like a glitch.

A new month of Flexible Book Exchange will begin tomorrow if anyone is interested in joining us, check out the book on our profile. This is our monthly club where you have the flexibility to choose the books you read and how much you want to/can participate. If you miss signing up, don't worry, we accept applications throughout the month.

To our current FBE members, I'll be announcing our June prize winners tomorrow for most active and the Flex draw tomorrow and contacting them via DM.

Our weekly club, Flexible Book Club, is off to a great start. Thanks to everyone who has stopped by and joined. If you're looking for a book club that's a weekly commitment to have regular reading partners go through more of your book, stop by and check it out.

Our new book club: Flexible Book Club is officially launched and accepting applications!

It's a weekly club that offers long-term reading groups so you can have more of your story read and have a stronger sense of community with your group members. The groups are organized by what level of feedback you'd like to give and receive on your work. We have our fun read-for-read level that focuses on supportive inline comments, our medium level that's consistent with our FBE commenting lengths with a mix of supportive and constructive elements, and our Deep Dive level is similar to our former Critique Club where the focus is on detailed constructive feedback.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to review the opening chapter and contribute to its changes and clarity. I'm very grateful for your help.

Also Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.

Hi everyone! We've launched a sneak peek of our newest book club and would love your help. We're even offering a prize draw for those who do! You do not need to be a FBE member to enter. Everyone is welcome.

Last month at FBE we quietly celebrated our 3rd birthday as a club. To celebrate, we're launching our first weekly book club aimed at creating long-term small group reading partnerships. This is my first time running this kind of club, so we need your opinions on what you think would and wouldn't work. If you have the time to read through the intro chapter this weekend, there are 4 sneak peek questions to answer and for each one you answer, you'll be entered into a draw to win comments and reads of 3 chapters of your story. I'll be drawing 3 winners, assuming that many people come to share their thoughts. The draw will be done on Monday.

Having a variety of opinions is always very helpful to keep FBE running the way it does, and I like to keep the tradition alive.

I'm hoping to open the club up for applications early next week for anyone who would be interested in participating. Thanks for taking the time to read this and have an excellent weekend :)

Short story writers! If you're looking for solid feedback to improve your short stories, I recommend Berengaria's Short Story Club run by the wonderful and talented @Di_Rossi. It's for stories up to 5k words, and the format is very similar to FBE where you send requests to exchange feedback and choose what you read. It's perfect for contest entries. There is no age limit on the club, although it's geared more towards members who are 18+.

Our book exchange sign-up chapter is up for May for any returning members who are interested in joining. For any new members, we will be starting a new round on May 1st and we're always accepting new members (even after May 1st). Stop by the welcome and how it works chapters to see if this is the right club for you :)

FlexBookExchange

Looking to join our book exchange next month? Our new round will start on April 1st. If you've participated in the past the April sign-up chapter is up, and if you are new to the club and want to join, have a read through the how it works chapter, fill in the quiz, then an application. We're always accepting applications throughout the month so even if you miss applying for April 1st, we can add you in later too. The advantages to our book club are that you get full choice of what and how much you read throughout the month and there's no commitment past the month(s) you want to participate. If you're looking for detailed feedback on your work, we've got you covered :)

Our ONC club is still open for applications until April 1st if you wanted to do some last-minute changes to polish up the chapters before the round 2 deadline.

FlexBookExchange

Both of our book clubs, the Flexible Book Exchange and the ONC Book Exchange are accepting applications for their next rounds if you're interested in getting detailed feedback on your writing in a laid-back environment where you choose the books and number of chapters you read and there is no required reading or minimum number of chapters to complete. We do have some comment requirements to ensure people are getting quality feedback too. We'd love to see you there!

We also have a discord link on our profile for any past or present members of FBE or our other clubs who are interested in joining.
