"but you looove me."  donte happily voiced  ,  smiling wide as he poked dylan's cheek.  "and I love you  ..  even if you're borderline a creep."

@sidearmz-         "you're  such an    /asshole/.   i  could  not  pass  for a   creep.   i  don't  have a   neck beard.    you   were   like,   way  past  freshly  18  when  we  met.   don't  even." 

"dylan  ,  dylan  —  breathe."  he settled his hands on to his shoulders  ,  shaking him a bit to get his attention.  "you're   /  already  /   parenting  ,  and you're doing a great job!  she loves you  —  and you'll come to find out that taking care of a kid is crazy  ,  no matter what you do.  you know her.  she's a little devil  —  but she's cute  ,  so we love her anyways.  parents work   /  together  /   to take care of their kids.  you're allowed to ask for help."

@sidearmz-        "but  the  label  makes  it  real!   she  sees  me  as  a parent  which  is  fine  but  what  if  i  can't  be a   /good/   parent?  i've  never  parented!  it  looks  hard.  it   looks    /really/   hard.   and  now  like,  i   can't  hand  her  back  to  you  when  i  don't  know  what  to  do.  because  that  isn't  what  parents  do,   right?" 

he sputtered a bit  ,  batting away at the hand that gripped his tongue.  he shot a betrayed look at dylan before moving a few steps away.  "you were already doing everything that comes with the label  ,  y'know?  you have been for a long time now.  you   /  are  /   overthinking it  —  and yeah  ,  definitely can't tell that you're excited.  not at all."

@sidearmz-        "can   too!   i  could  totally  break  up  with  you,    but  i  wouldn't  be  very  happy."     another   'oof'  would  leave  him  as  the  pillow  hit,  and he'd  accept  defeat  even  more.   "if  you  come  lay  down  here  with me me,   i'll  snuggle  with   you."

donte peeked his head over the side of the bed  ,  snorting at the sight of dylan on the floor.  "you can't break up with me.  you love me waayy too much to do that.  you simply have to learn to accept me  ,  for me."  and to emphasize whatever point he was trying to say here  ,  he threw a pillow down at dylan.

@sidearmz-           the  tumble  to   the  floor  was  oh  so  gracious,   topped  off  with a  dramatic   groan   from  dylan.   he  didn't   even  get  up  to  get  back  on  the  bed.  instead  he  opted  for  just  laying  there  solemnly.    "you're   evil.   it's  official:   we're   breaking   up.   you   just  threw  me  to  the  ground!"

@sidearmz-          "i   think  you're  perfect."   and  for  some  reason,  he  couldn't  ever  tell  donte   that.   not  directly  at  least,  the  words  got lost  in  his  throat  whenever  he  tried.   but  they  translated  well into  pretty songs.  words  that  floated  alongside  the  music  he'd  worked  on,  making  sure  everything  was  perfect,  just  like  donte.   maybe  he  wasn't blessed  with  the  ability  to  tell  donte  directly,  or  even  draw  his  love,  but he  could  write  it.   which,  in  his  opinion,  made  it  even  more   real.    "i'm  sure.   i'd   love  to  see me  through  you.   maybe  i'd  finally  get  the  hype,  or  whatever." 

"I'm not corny  ,  I'm truthful."  he huffed  ,  arms crossing against his chest.  "perfection isn't just one thing  ,  y'know?  people view it as someone with absolutely no flaws  ,  but that's bullshit.  everyone's gonna have something wrong with them.  you're perfect just because you're you  ,  dylan.  no matter what you do  ,  to me  ,  you'll always be perfect.  always.  which is why I   /  hate  /   that I can't draw you right!  if you looked at you through my eyes  ,  you'd know what I'm talking about."

@sidearmz-          "have   i  ever  told  you   that  you're    really  corny?   and  that  you're  probably  the  only  person  who  thinks  i'm   perfect."    maybe  he  should  be  worried.  if  donte  thinks  he's  perfect,  there's bound  to  be  cracks  in  that  appearance  sooner  than  later.  but  that  was  a  later  him  issue.    "you're   replicating   it  just  fine,  baby.   all  these  look   /amazing/."
