Hey, guys! How are you? I’ve changed the Milo and Maisie spinoff story title to The Veracruz Ghost (sounds better) and tweaked the blurb a little.

While Milo and Maisie is based on my early days with the DCP, Milo and Maisie: The Veracruz Ghost, is based on a real legend at Coronado Springs that I learned when I was deployed there for Summit during my DCP! Cool, huh?

The third novelette/novella will be based on the skiing trip my family and I took to Breckenridge during my DCP! Do you see a pattern here?

I can’t wait to combine all these stories/outlines into the novel version later! We’re making progress one day at a time. :)

The next chapter of Through the Wormhole is up, guys! It's a short one, but it serves as the second part of the Lost World of Bugs chapter, giving it a word count of around 1,600. I think this is okay for an action-adventure. Besides, I didn't want to jump suddenly into the event coming in the next section of the Paleozoic Era. Therefore, we're going to start a new chapter for that.

          I hope you enjoy!

The writer’s block for Through the Wormhole is insane, guys. I don’t really get it because I have the first few drafts right in front of me—LOL! And now the writer’s block is catching up to Summit 2023, too—although I did finally manage write 400 words yesterday.

As expected, this month is extremely busy, which is why I finished Milo and Maisie early. I also knew exactly what I wanted to happen, and when I know what’s going to happen, I’ll write like a madman. It is difficult to work on two projects at once, though, and I take my time to make my stories good. Take that, Wattpad! I don’t need you to tell me my writing is good. I don’t need a dumb Wattys. All I need is my confidence.

The Wattys is just an award, and most bestselling authors have never won one. My stories are my stories, and I’m not going to force myself to write what’s popular on Wattpad. I’ll take it one day at a time. That’s the best thing I can do right now. I’m not giving up, though. I have lots of stories under my belt, just not enough time to write them right now.

Anyway, how are you guys? It’s my birthday, so I’m going to do a little shopping after I get off work. I can’t wait to get home, too, this summer, and start working toward what I actually want to do. :)

happy birthday! a lot of people have said that the wattys are rigged anyway; I don’t necessarily agree with that, but I do agree that the winners usually what’s popular in the industry at the moment. they aren’t for everyone, and that’s okay.

Okay, whew! Milo and Maisie made it to Round 3 of the Open Novella Contest! I was nervous it wouldn’t because I wasn’t sure if you were allowed to write sequels to the novella while the contest was occurring. But cheers! You’re killing it, Milo and Maisie!

All right, guys! I think I've finished my edits for the latest chapter of the Milo and Maisie spin-off story, Summit 2023! I do have a slight case of writer's block, but hey, I'd rather it be for Summit 2023 than the main novella, and a horrible case of writer's block for Through the Wormhole. However, I'll get through them.

I've been having fun putting the playlists together for the stories, too! I've been doing this since I started writing and have gotten good at it. It's so much fun to listen to music that actually fits the story while writing it. Makes for great inspiration! And I choose all kinds of songs, too: childhood ones, different genres, etc. Anything that I think fits the story. A song is a song, no matter if it came from a kids show or not. :)

Hey, guys, the last twenty-four hours have been really rough. I was only offered Part-Time with Disney, which with how hard I work, was a slap in the face. Therefore, I’m going to sadly leave Disney next month and hope I can find something better that’s more on the path of what I want to do.

I’m very scared, but my family said they would help me. And I will never forget the wonderful time I had in the DCP. Milo and Maisie came from the DCP, but only a lucky few are able to go Full-Time with them. As usual—it’s the same with my writing—I’m the unlucky few. I hope things will work out, though, but the guilt of declining the offer is still very much there.

@CroodsGirl I’m sorry to hear that, and I wish you luck with your writing, wherever you go. :( It is definitely a blow to the face, and I know how that feels.
