It's extremely hard to find places that are cruelty free - at the end of the day, the meat industry is the business of killing animals. I'd highly recommend becoming vegetarian or pescatarian (incorrect spelling XD) because no matter where you source your meat I can almost guarantee that there'll be cruelty involved
Quorn is a good source of protein, as are pulses (like lentils) and nuts. Kale, spinach and other leafy green stuff is good for iron. I' m on an iron supplement atm as a result of celiac's disease so I'm not a great example of health on a veggie diet XD
Mo Farah (British olympic runner) is vegetarian, as are a lot of other sportspeople who I can't name right now XD
But yeah, vegetarianism has loads of health benefits if you do it right and you're also not responsible for countless animals' suffering
