I published a new chapter for Prometheus yesterday. Sorry for the long wait, but I barely had any energy during my exams, so I procrastinated and then had to cram in the evening and morning before my exam, which was too energy-consuming to write more than a few sentences every few days.
For now, I'm also working on a one-shot that I started back in February, but put on hold for the ONC, so be ready for a bi protagonist, two POC characters, and some polyamory.

And if anyone is interested in a well-founded reaction (with citations!) to J.K. Rowling's essay about trans people, check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Avcp-e4bOs&list=LLvLDAq8RzWbbn-YWbPfS8Ag&index=2&t=0s And if you need some positivity after that, look for the videos of One Topic at a Time.

HI there, just saying thank you for reading and voting for my stories, Murder and Love in 1975! :)

@elveloy Sorry for the late reply! I planned to and then I forgot, but you're very welcome. I actually read Murder in 1975 a year ago already, but apparently, I forgot to vote for the later chapters. I also loved the diversity that goes beyond 'gay' because there's so much more and there are more people who have unconventional relationships/families than we often realise. And your writing was solid as always.

It is ALWAYS right to fight against racism and discrimination because no reason for it is ever good enough (I can't fathom how some people even think that others are "lesser"). I live in a small town area with few people of colour, so I've never witnessed discrimination, but if you do, stand up (just like you would when you witness bullying)! Even if you're not American, sign petitions, educate yourself and help however you can (https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/ ) because racism is everywhere and it shouldn't. Let's make 2020 the year of change!

June also means pride month and let's not forget that we celebrate it thanks to the Stonewall riots in 1969 and trans and queer people of colour! It's our time and duty to continue their fight, against discrimination of all kinds and for diversity of all kinds, and for love and acceptance and empathy and pride. Happy pride month!

Thank you so much for following me!

Wow, thank you so much for the feedback! And of course, I love constructive criticism. Your comment is a common one, the reason why Hector’s chapter feels so out of place is because the story is technically unfinished! I wrote OMM as three separate parts, but the only one that was truly complete was The Sake of Time. I was too burned out to really give the story the love it needed at the time, so I decided to publish the incomplete story anyways.

And you’re totally right, Hector’s POV after the reveal is just as important as Nico’s, which I think is why so many people felt like something vital was missing from the narrative. While I’m quarantined I hope to finally flesh out his chapters and truly “end” the 2026 part of Nico’s POV, but I’m notoriously unreliable lol.

Once again, thank you so so much, and good luck on your exams! ❤️

@therealkayelle You're very welcome! I immensely enjoyed One Million Masks. Flow, characters, style, the imagery and dialogue were practically perfect.
But if you don't mind some feedback, I think the one chapter in Hector's pov, while it does add some backstory, is a bit out of place and not essential to the plot/story. If there were other chapters in his pov, it'd fit in better.
What would add to the story, is if there were some more indications of what happened between 2026 and 2050, how Hector got to know that Vance was in fact Vortex. It doesn't have to be a full chapter (I mean, that is a narrative choice), but some hints or a few extra paragraphs spread over several chapters could tell us much more. (Or did I just miss all the clues?)

I also added some of your other works to my library, but I've literally got hundreds of books in it and a month of exams ahead of me, so I won't be reading them anytime soon :).

Hey thank you so much for taking the time to read and vote on my story, I really appreciate it! Hope you enjoyed the read! ❤️

aerys_the_mad

@BirtheV hey thanks so much for your feedback! It is a bit of a struggle for me as this is my first character-driven story (as I’m usually an idea-focused writer) but that’s something good to keep in mind. ❤️

@ aerys_the_mad You're welcome. I liked the idea and your style is fine, but I feel the story would improve if you fleshed out the characters more and the plot was more cohesive because now, a lot of the emotions and reactions seem to come out of nowhere. (I hope you don't mind some feedback.)
Thanks for the follow, by the way.

@ elveloy Of course. You're very welcome! I'm entering my exam period, so shorter reads are perfect. By the way, you nailed the ending because it's so easy to add superfluous sentences and there are none.

I had a few deadlines last week, so I was pretty late, but I posted chapter 6 of Prometheus yesterday. https://www.wattpad.com/864882444-prometheus-onc-2020-6-%CE%B1%E1%BC%B0%CF%84%E1%BD%B7%CE%B1-guilt

I'm not participating in the Open Novella Contest anymore because, as predicted, I didn't have enough time to write 20,000 words. (I got through the second round, however.) The story will still be finished, but updates might get very slow or non-existent till the end of June because, the next few weeks, I have to prepare for my exams and then I have three weeks of finals. I usually write in the evenings, but I'll have to go to bed extra early because my exams are extra early (and I have a commute), and if I write, I might prefer something short and light.

          Take care.

Fifth chapter of Prometheus is up. Not my best one, so I might revisit it in the future. Also the most suspense/action this story will ever know because there's a theft.
I also combined my two separate one-shots into a new collection reserved for the more serious themes: Discrimen. More of that will come in the summer, when I've finished Prometheus and my exams.
