I'm one of those traditional people who write a full text, so ... Please don't shoot me, otherwise I love lists for every little thing.
"Writing's 10% inspiration and 90% transpiration."
I've been writing since I'm able to write, preferably with my mechanical pencil. I started a book at 11 and I completed even the 2nd draft, but it's still not good enough to send it to a publisher, so I thought it'd be easier to just start a new one - which I have therefore done. Writing's my lifeline, but reading's easier, so for now, it's mainly a diary, lots of very long mails, short stories, poetry and since this summer a blog. Writing enables me to get to know the world and myself and to handle it all.
Since I'm Belgian (Flemish), I mostly write in Dutch, but I've a book of (LGBT+) one-shots in English and I write poems in English as well. Furthermore, I read mostly in English on here and my reading lists consist of the stories I consider good enough to share. Please let me know if I placed a story in the wrong category.
My profile photo is a Greek temple in Paestum, South-Italy (I study ancient Greek and Latin), my background photo was taken in Iceland. The rainbow in it symbolises my support of the LGBT+ community and my own identity.
