The confirmed death toll already passed 12K. Those injured estimated reported to be within the 50k range. This number is expected to rapidly increase as the search & rescue operations are mostly carried by volunteers and locals with limited resources and people are at the risk of hypothermia or freezing to death while waiting to be rescued.
