I am a bibliophile (a lover of books) and while COVID-19 keeps me from the library and new reading materials, I am not opposed to reading what I can find online.
I am a bit of a nerd, a geek, a gamer, and a crafter as well. I have a BA in English and Linguistics and am currently working on my MA in Secondary Education. In my high school years, I wrote a bit of fanfiction and poetry, but often was a beta reader and editor for others. In college, I was an editor for a small newspaper and still did a bit of creative writing for fun. I've taught English and as such am very familiar with the rules and grammar of this crazy language. I love finding new stories to read, but find it challenging to get through when there are a lot of blatant typos and errors, or when there is a lot that can be improved upon in the way a story is told. (Remember: 'show' don't 'tell' always makes writing more immersive.)
