Hi all. Hope everyone is well. 
          Have any of you out there who are also writers had a story pulled recently with no notice, and for no discernible good reason? 
          
          For the handful of you who'd read "Not Getting Burned" and liked it, I'm afraid it has apparently, unaccountably and suddenly, fallen foul of Wattpad's content guidelines. The only crime I can think of that it committed was being a bit bad joke- and pun-heavy, and not being finished; but then as regards the latter, it wasn't even the most egregious example of that sin, amongst my works.
          
          Hey ho. 
          
          I've launched an appeal but am not expecting a favourable answer.

Hello, friends. 
          Two unrelated but happy pieces of news from me today.
          
          First, I've spent the last couple of weeks reading some excellent stories as the Round 2 judge for the Horror/Paranormal category of the Read4Read Awards, hosted by the tireless and lovely @Ellen_Reese. Ellen deserves a great deal of credit for running such an efficient, good-natured and fun award.
          My reading list was very varied, and each of the stories was immensely entertaining and a genuine pleasure to read - the judging was hard, as they all had their own merits, and I'm sorry only five of them could go through. So, a big thanks to @empiresofwater, @Sophie_songs, @annkreeves, @aura_irene_, @CelticWarriorQueen17, @irenixivy, @mysteas, @aimee_ph_koert7 and @BlueStars_FairScars (and @RFNasua, who sadly had to withdraw) for filling my last two or so weeks with such enjoyable reading.

          Second, I'm pleased to say that after a hectic June of responding to various Pride Month-related prompts, two of my efforts got recognition. 'The Friend Request' was one of the winners in the Love Letter category of flash fiction; 'Dark Eyes Melting My Soul' (in the 'Rainbow Shorts' collection) won the Flash Fiction song-fic category.

          It's a miserable (weather-wise) Friday night here in the UK, so I've been poking about on Wattpad while procrastinating over writing.

          If you like a bit of romance (don't we all in a way?) the Ambassador-run @NARomance profile is hosting an award. The entries don't have to be New Adult, they're accepting Young Adult and (old??) Adult as well. :)

          To my delight (and surprise), 'The Friends' got an Honourable Mention in the @NARomance 'Love Is All We Need: Spring Into Love' awards. There were some strong prompts to choose from.
