"that   so?  "   she   dragged   her   teeth   over   her   bottom   lip.   "i'll   have   to   think   about   it.   but   you   put   up   a   pretty   good   pitch.   "

            his focus remained straightforward , every now and then graves would turn that focus towards the other behind him— almost as if knowing better than to keep someone else out of his own sight , or perhaps because he wanted to let her know he was still paying attention somehow .  “ well thank you kindly .  ” a flash of white teeth as he’d smile back at her , before just as quickly looking away .  “ you’ll be sure to find your decision well spent .  i like to think i’ve got PRETTY useful information that might provide you some better insight on the current target on hand .  ” he hummed , stopping for a second to look dead on .  his expression fierce .  “ perhaps even someone you’ve been tracking for quite some time .  ”

            a little brat , that’s what he was .  sure , john was a polite kid all things considered but the scot always had a knack for trouble it seemed— even in his youth .  some things haven’t changed .  “ aye  ,  i should really get her the greatest gift for her next birthday as an apology for all the stress i’ve caused her .  ” he snorted softly , soon clearing his throat .  “ it’s good  ,  actually .  almost like my maw’s sandwiches .  ”

            john only gave an amused smile in response , and finally took a bit of the food in front of him .  swallowing , he’d then let out a low him as blue hues glanced over to the other again .  “ you’re not wrong about that one..  poor woman .  ” he chuckled , shaking his head lightly .
