September 1, 2004.
Max and Lucas Sinclair are raising six identical daughters-Charlotte, Ellie, Mazzy, Autumn, Riley, and Scarlett-and their younger son James in Salem, Massachusetts.
The sextuplets are thirteen now, entering their final year at Saltonstall School before high school. For eight years the halls have been their second home. But now comes change: Facebook accounts, first cellphones, eighth-grade dances, an Italy class trip, and preparing for Salem High School.
Meanwhile, the old Hawkins crew-Mike, Dustin, Will, Eleven, Nancy, Jonathan, Robin, Erica, Hopper, and Joyce-are still part of their lives, now grown up but just as chaotic in the group chat.
Between skateboarding, hip-hop dance classes, Pokémon battles on GameBoy Advance, church youth group, gardening with Nana Susan next door, and family dinners full of stories about the 80s, the Sinclair kids are learning that growing up means balancing who you were with who you're becoming.
And this year?
Everything changes.
