'Thomas Lund added you on Messenger!' What should have been an ignored message became all nighter conversations that I took like a drug. He was my drug, he distracts me from my problems, he makes me happier and for a while I loved it. Until I didn't. * * * The internet is a wonderful yet terrifying place, meeting people from around the world and making friends, and even building an audience for youself. Joanna Ross is a simple 17 year old girl, naive but cautious and yet she still doesn't know what to do with her life. Her family had her plans thought out but the stress of it all burdens her which caused her to be closed off from others even more. One message from a guy she doesn't know and she's hooked, his humor, his cuteness and the way he viewed things made her intrigued. Weeks later they finally decided to meet, unfortunately it didn't sit well with Joanna. Was it worth it, meeting this boy who seemed nothing like the Thomas she spent her nights on? What else could this man be hiding? Who is he really? Also, how was he able to find out where she lived? - - - - - - This story is under the #MakeItSafePh writing contest which talks about the different dangers we could be exposed to everyday on social media online and different safety tips on how to steer clear of these dangers in order to be able to enjoy the different possibilites the internet offers us. Minsan, ang mga taong madalas tumawa... ...sila pala 'yong may dinadalang problema...

Mia was just doing online Christmas shopping. She had no idea it could go so wrong.

Ni hindi masabing katulad kung ano ang naging pagtitiis laging sa kalawakan ng kalangitan lamang ang tanaw. Sa halos mahabang panahon na nag-antay kung ano ang kahihinatnan ng lahat' sana'y gaya parin ng dati. Na nagsimula sa malinis at kapirasong eroplanong papel ng mga pangarap. Hindi tulad kung ano noong dati. Nagsimula sa nobela at mahabang sulatan na natapos rin nang ganon kadali na ang ending sa patak nang luha. Sa ganito lang ba matatapos ang lahat kung may pagkakataon pa lalo na ngayon makikita na at makakatindig na sa gintong pangarap na kayang abotin na masasabing isang bagong kasaysayan at bagong pag-asa na pinakamimithing hangarin makaalpas patungo sa rorok nang kinabukasan. Isang magandang hamon tungo sa bangong story ng buhay tungo sa pag-asang......ngayon na' This is the beginning nasa huli hindi maaaring pagsisihan lalo na kung mahal mo ang lugar na pinagsimulan bago nagtagumpay. Ang ending ito na iyon kung ano ang bagay na kung ano ikaw sa lugar na pinatutunguhan . Sa story na ito ilalabas ng sumulat ang isang mambabasa sa kanyang comfort zone. At ipapakita nito ang tunay na realidad. Kung pano? Hayaan nyong malaya kong isulat ang isang maiksing kuwentong aking nalalaman.

Kilalanin si Sunshine nang makatanggap ng isang message sa Tweeter... Love always wins somehow, in someway but always take precaution always in anything you do. Word count: 1063 words.

An entry to the Globe makeITsafePH Writing Contest. This is my take on the third prompt: " Nakatanggap ka ng isang link mula sa iyong kaibigan kung saan maaari kang mag-download ng movies nang libre. Alam mong ang mga free movies na ito ay may malware na maaaring maka-infect sa iyong computer. Pinag-iisipan mong mabuti kung ipagpapatuloy mo ang pagda-download ng isang sikat na palabas na gustong-gusto mong panoorin. Magsulat ng isang fictional story mula 500-1,000 salita tungkol sa iyong pagkahilig sa movies at ang iyong magiging desisyon" I take that prompt in a larger and metaphor-like view with my opinions being personified and implied in the story.
