A LONG LOVE LETTER As young people in Accra, Komi and Kesse passionately loved each other until she broke his heart.Really saddened , he vowed to stay as far away from her as possible and he fled to Bolgatanga.Years later,he business brought him to live in the Sekondi where she was a nurse .They made up .Fate blew them separate ways once more: when the fear she might break his heart one more time crept in,he gave in to the urge to flee to "take care" of unsettled relationship issues of his past life in Bolgatanga .She was disappointed. Years passed as she waited and prayed for him to return. At one point she couldn't wait any longer .She got married to the last of the many suitors who came . Still under strict matrimonial vow with her husband, Komi still dreamed of loving and living with Kesse whom , according to her secret conclusion , her husband "couldn't measure up to." While far away, he also battled the hunger of luring her into breaking her marriage vow .He didn't write.He rarely called. She did.She divorced one year later and decided to live her life alone although she faintly nursed the hope to have Kesse for herself anytime in life .Work took him to Togo .She joined him, claiming it was her desire to work in the best hospital there. Coming together after many years apart, their love for each other was rekindled in warmth that only passionate proximity could allow . Living together for the first time in their entire life, she discovered to her deep disappointment that "Kesse couldn't be as nice as" Aham,her estranged husband .She concluded he was too "critical and busy to accommodate" her delicate sentiments . He wanted more time to prove otherwise to her .She was decided about leaving him,claiming that work was taking her to a different city.In dealing with his sadness he contrived to write love letters in his journal...
