An alternate ending to the 2014 book "The Goldfinch" if Theodore Decker would've reacted in time and went to the big city together with Boris Pavlikovsky. I started writing this around the end of spring to the start of summer 2022, when my "The Goldfinch" obsession was peaking. By then, I'd only watched the movie once or twice and still hadn't gotten and read the book, so the fan fiction was based on my assumptions and headcanons, and most of the stuff written wasn't accurate to the book or even the movie. I won't be continuing this fanfic since I'm trying to focus on my own creativity and making up my own stories. I just thought it'd be fun to share, maybe for myself to look back on in the future. I apologize for the errors in the writing; my first language isn't English.

Boris is a 15 year old addict. It's cuz of his shitty abusive father. he introduced him to drugs. Boris lives by himself with his father, in a shitty and empty-ish neighborhood. no ones active. no ones there. he dreads the loneliness, but has gotten used to it. He meets this kid named Theo. and woah. Right person, wrong time.

Boris Volodymyrovych Pavlikovsky was 13 when he met his first love. A 4'10 boy from New York.
