[discontinued until further notice, finished chapters will remain published] In 2137, a new society was born and they called themselves the New Union. Their world had fallen to ashes, but they built upon the idea of division based on age. Another vision came from this idea that every five years, no more and no less, a person would be presented with two options and told to choose one of the given choices. Within the five years, people would learn to adapt alongside others who made the same decision. Tessa, a seventeen year old girl, has already made three choices, but her decision was unlike every other person's. No one has ever been known to live the way Tessa had been living for the past seventeen years and lived to tell the tale. Until one day, her secret comes out and her life becomes endangered. And with every step she takes, Tessa knows she's being watched and fears by making one wrong move, she will become death's next victim. Huge thanks to @sanedream for the absolutely stunning cover!

-"Go to hell"- -"Been there.Devil didn't like me so spat me back out."- ----------- -"Well, at least look at the bright side"- he said cheerfully. -"I can't. There isn't one." this time his smile dimmed, almost non-existent. He sighed, fighting against her was a waste of time. He couldn't win. -"Then I'll sit with you in the dark side"- He smiled at her, and for one moment she could see the bright side of which he was talking about. **** When Nicole Switz finds herself inside her own book - the one that she wrote every single day putting her heart and soul into it- she discovers that her book's main female character (Cara) is missing. But that's not all. Cara is also the only one that can stop Dawn, the super villain of the story, so Nicole is forced to help her characters find their only hope. But if they are only imaginary characters and she's only dreaming, why does her heart flutter whenever she's near Xander, the male main character, the one that she decided was destined to Cara? And what about that boy in class, the one that looks like Xander, is he real or only an illusion? Even when you create something, there are lots of things, secrets, that you don't know about. And Nicole will learn this about her characters. All this and more in Roses Are Red.

When Nicole finds herself inside her own book - the one that she wrote every single day putting her heart and soul into it- she discovers that her book's main female character (Cara) is missing. But that's not all. With the disappearance of Cara, Nicole's main male character (Xander) is sitting down depressed while two evil forces fighting against each other are playing a game at who conquers the most land, bringing destruction and death between the villages that are slowly taken over. But is that all? Or is there more to the story? Why did the Lord of Shadows kill the king to take over the Conquered, why does The Gov have a new leader? And is Nicole really into an imaginary world or in a dimension that holds up secrets from her past? Is this three-fronted war only a competition to who has most control or is it just a mask to hide secrets that were buried -or rather cancelled- from History. In all the chaos, one thing Nicole is sure of: there is something that the Lord of Shadows and Xander are hiding from her and the rest of the world. cover by @-verdant-
