After leaving the police force five years ago after confronting corruption and violence in the NYPD, former Detective John Reilly has built a life for himself selling newspapers and magazines outside of Spanish Harlem in New York. Just as he starts to feel that he's built a life for himself, one of the officers who forced Reilly out of his career is suddenly murdered in unknown, and possibly supernatural, circumstances. John is the only one who notices the link between the murder and his own past, but can he help save the lives of the other corrupted officers without losing himself in the process?

Dominique, who goes by Dom, can't stand how terrible this world is to anyone who's not a cishet white person. She's an activist in high school trying to make a change in the world. She fights for many things, but she is a huge Black Lives Matter ally due to her long-time best friend, Jayden. Jayden, who goes by Jay, is a black kid breaking so many stereotypes in his predominantly white high school. Top of his class, ivy-bound, athlete who plays two different sports while also making time to fight for what he believes in. But just because Jayden is the perfect kid, in many people's eyes, he doesn't look like one. These two high schoolers team up to get justice for innocent Nia Jones, a 14-year-old girl who was shot four times by a cop. But will it go as smoothly as they thought it would? Notes: Hi! If you're reading this story, I hope you enjoy it. I wanted to write something that conveys a lot of important topics such as racial profiling, slurs used against minorities, gun violence, police brutality, activism, and much more. As a young activist, I hope this story helps touch the hearts of people my age.

"Truth Is, We Are All One Bullet Away From Becoming A Hashtag...But All We Ever Did Was Be Black" In a world where you are targeted by the police for being black August Alsina was most definitely a victim in today's society. Growing up with no parents but his grandmother and brothers he had to learn how to grow up fast. He's seen and heard things that has impacted his life. He's been through things that have scared him forever. No one could ever suspect what a life he's been through because he made sure to never show how broken he really was on the inside. He never let the troubles he faced at home impact the way he treated or talked to people, that's where he got the nickname gentle giant. But being gentle can only get you so far, Embark on August journey to conquer the world as he has to juggle the racist people at his new college, the police who are constantly killing brothers and sisters around him, his sick grandmother and trying to say out of the fast life while keeping his grades up all at once. *DO NOR STEAL MY WORK ALL COPYRIGHTS TO ME! An ironic piece I wrote about social injustice.

This story originates deep inside the mind, of a bipolar/depressed teenager. Who had just lost two friends, in a span of 2 years. One of them dying from an apparent Xanax overdose. The other dying from a gunshot would to the chest cavity. Ru struggles to cope and move on from these losses. She has but two choices, a court order prompted to keep you in a mental health facility. Or to go back to your hometown country, and live the same never ending hot summer days indefinitely. Ru goes with the most logical decision and takes a trip to a mental hospital. Where she then meets her twin brother, Malik, in whom they'd thought had gone missing...forever. Its been years since the two have seen each other after Malik was falsely accused of Rape. The "victim", Aya, had claimed he had hit her and broke her arm. Malik was sentenced 21 years in prison, for a case that had not been proven. On the day of the incident, Malik came back from basketball to attend to his grandma. She had, Stage 4: Heart Disease. Although Malik alibi checked out that day, he was manipulated into giving a false confession. At the time, the boy was young... 11 years old. Who in the police department gas-lighted him to cover up this rape case? We just don't have enough information. It has to be a variation of Lieutenant Miller, and Deputies; Loehmann, Woodyard, & Hankison. All four were first on the scene and alone in the inerregation. Will Malik's false accusation be revealed, or is he the actual killer. Read now.

I am Ts'episo, a sister, an Aunt to crazy but amazing kids. I'm sharing with you pierce of myself( thoughts, feeling; what I go through every day) that you don't see physically my thoughts, feelings, perceptions in regards to my sister's killer. Years ago I saw my sister beaten by anything you can think of, shot at, and ended up being killed by her husband.
