When he asks her for help, Karen takes a leap of faith into the strangest event of her life.

It's been 3 years since I last updated a story. Back then, I was graduating from high school. Now, I'm about to graduate from college. Time really flew. This story is written in Taglish and is heavily inspired by my real-life experiences, with a little bit of overthinking, assumptions, and twists here and there. 😉 It was also inspired by Hilda Furacão, one of my favorite TV series. A lot has happened since then. I'm now a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and for the first time in my life... I experienced something I never expected. I figured this was the perfect time to start writing again. Just a heads-up: this is NOT your typical LDS story. It's not a romance. Some scenes happened exactly as they did in real life especially the convertion part. Others... are simply the product of an overly creative mind. Either way, I hope you'll enjoy the journey.

Some stuff you may have heard about Mormons that is not true.

I was moved to write this story in an effort to educate people about God, His laws and how it caused me to separate myself from a religion I practiced for nearly 40 years. I also hope to inspire others to gain an interest and perhaps, as I have obtained, a passion for studying Biblical Hebrew. I will also uncover a centuries old conspiracy to conceal the actual name of God! Another purpose is to dispel some myths that people that leave The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints leave for only two reasons; they have lost faith, or they have been offended by someone. This is not the case with me, and I believe there is a growing number of people who have left for similar reasons. I want to be clear, my intent is not to destroy the church. I do not have any animosity towards the church nor the leaders or members. I acknowledge many members and leaders of the church are truly dedicated to living the gospel the best they know how. I also have great empathy for current members of the church as just a few years ago, I was a devout member of the church myself!

Nephi's father, Lehi, is a prophet of God. He lives 600 BC, and receives revelation for his family to leave Jerusalem, their home, and go to a new land, a Promised Land. This is the story of their journey. This story is based on the events of First Nephi and a little of Second Nephi in the Book of Mormon.

I just want to rant.

Five years ago Macy was dumped by her first love Todd Peterson just days before he left to serve his two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Since then she has graduated from college, moved to New York City to work towards her future career as a Broadway actress, and formed a calloused grudge against Todd. But when Macy and Todd's paths cross, Macy needs to decide if she'll hold onto her grudge or gain strength in forgiveness.

Superman: She had been waiting for her superman her whole life and there he was right there saving her. As she lifted her hand to take off the mask that covered everything on his face but his bright green eyes, He spoke. “Oh no, not right now. Maybe next time though.” And hes gone, leaving her there dreaming about next time.

The purpose of this book is to banish false myths (because boy, are there some weird ones), answer any questions (even the ridiculous ones), and to learn a little more about the world around you!
