I personally feel that death isn't as bad as people make it seem(Unless hell exists and you know that you're going there to suffer for eternity.) But, one thing that would beat out death for a relief to depression is non-existance; the theme of this poem.

With some hesitation, she steps forward to lead a resistance. But part of her still wants to go back to her normal life, and that could either be a strength, or a weakness.
