Si Clara ay isang simpleng babae na may isang malaking pangarap-ang makita nang personal ang kanyang ultimate idol na si Dylan, isang sikat na singer at dancer na minamahal ng milyon-milyong fans. Araw-araw, sinusubaybayan niya ang mga performances nito, nagsusulat tungkol sa kanya sa kanyang libro, at gumagawa ng mga kwento kung saan balang araw, siya at ang kanyang idol ang magiging magkatuluyan. At sa bawat pangarap niya, laging nasa tabi niya ang kanyang best friend na si Austin. Si Austin ang taong unang nakikinig sa lahat ng kwento niya. Siya ang kasama ni Clara sa paghihintay sa mga concert, ang tumutulong para matupad ang mga pangarap niya, at ang taong laging nagsasabing: "Kung gusto mo siyang makita, tutulungan kitang makalapit sa kanya." Pero may isang bagay na hindi alam ni Clara. Hindi lang pagiging best friend ang nararamdaman ni Austin para sa kanya. Habang abala si Clara sa pangangarap na balang araw ay mapansin siya ni Dylan, tahimik namang minamahal siya ni Austin-sa bawat ngiti, bawat iyak, bawat kwento tungkol sa ibang lalaki. Hanggang sa dumating ang araw na natupad ang pinakamalaking pangarap ni Clara. Nakilala niya si Dylan. Pero sa pagkakataong akala niya ay doon magsisimula ang love story na matagal niyang isinulat sa kanyang libro, unti-unti niyang napagtanto na may isang taong matagal nang nasa harap niya. Isang taong hindi niya kailangang habulin. Isang taong hindi niya kailangang maging fan para mahalin. Isang taong nanatili kahit hindi niya ito pinili. Si Austin. At habang sinusubukan ni Clara na tuklasin kung sino ang tunay na laman ng puso niya, isang tanong ang paulit-ulit na bumabalik sa kanya: "Paano kung ang taong pinapangarap kong makilala... ay hindi pala ang taong hinahanap ng puso ko?"
