I walked down the isle, heart pumping in excitement to see who my groom was. I held down my head the entire walk, even when i reached the podium and the dramatic wedding music had stopped. There was a long beat of silence before my groom removed my vail.
I looked up to see my new groom and my smile instantly vanished.
I could see my mother in the crowd signaling for me not to make a scene.
Fine. Mhi have a reputation fi uphold, but when this is over?

In this universe, this timeline, history was reversed.
In a sense..
We go way back to 1513, when the Africans were bought to jamaica. In this universe, though Africans didn't really have any weapons, they were far stronger than the spaniards and easily fought them off. But over a time, the British came to rule in 1655. For the first few years, the British had great control over the Africans. But the Africans decided, they were NOT having it. The Africans fought countless wars until they eventually overpowered the British, and made the whites slaves instead. And all across the world, the whites were becoming slaves instead of the blacks. The blacks were kings and Queens, while the whites were slaves, this started in 1679.Though the Africans over powered the British, the British still ruled for a long enough time to teach the Africans English. A language in which some Africans weren't able to properly, leading up to mispronunciations which eventually led up to the language most Jamaicans speak today,Patois(creole, broken English, etc).
This story takes place in the 1802, whereas two black rulers known as Queen Niambe Elsalvatore of Middlesex, and her husband king Rivan Elsalvatore of Middlesex badly wanted their unruly, arrogant, spoiled daughter to get married. The Whitecrofts: King Xandros i, & Queen Mortesha ii proposed an offer. The Whitecroft's son would marry the Elsalvatore's daughter in exchange for an end of the generational fued between the two royal families.
