After the prison is lost, Beth and Daryl are separated from the rest of the group. Together they struggle to survive and slowly they discover feelings greater than friendship for each other. They learn to find strength in each other and it becomes them against the world. Will a relationship form even in the midst of an apocalypse?

A Bethyl fanfic set just before the season 5 mid season finale when Rick,Daryl and co and about to make their offer to Dawn This will follow the story but will be different as there will be a little change with Beth dying... Rating may change in future chapters.

After Beth died, no one was ever the same. Tyreese was killed while he and Noah were scouting Shirewilt Estates, where Noah used to live. We had a funeral for him. Buried him and everything. We never did that for Beth. We tried to, but before we could bury her, there was a storm. We had to take shelter, and when we went back to finish, Beth was GONE. We looked for her for days, but we never found her. Everyone else just assumed that she had somehow turned. I didn't want to believe them, but at some point I realized there was no more hope. Because the only source of hope we had was gone. Beth was gone.

She doesn't want a group. She doesn't want any ties. That's the way it's always been and that's the way she wanted it to stay. But no one ever gets what they want.

"I get it now." Her voice echoed in his head over and over again. Her last words she said to that woman before she shot her in the head leaving him to feel like an empty mess. He didn't hesitate to shoot her right back. Now the question "how many people did you kill?" and "why?" will change. Why? because she took his light. She shined so bright and restored faith back to him. He thought he could live again and for a moment he thought he could love again. God had other plans. He took her away from him.
