At twenty, I was loud, reckless and completely convinced I knew myself. I didn't believe in love. I didn't wait for men. And I definitely wasn't waiting for a man in prison. Then I met Problem. Six foot. Road. Arrogant. Beautiful. The sort of man sensible women probably walked away from. I wasn't particularly sensible. What started with one look in my sister's house became late-night drives, prison letters, visits, other relationships, heartbreak, years apart and a connection neither of us ever really knew how to name. He was never quite my boyfriend. I was never quite his girl. Apparently, fifteen years later, I'm his ex. Who fucking knew? This isn't a story about getting the guy. It's about what happens when somebody is never completely yours... but somehow never completely leaves your life either.

In the soot-choked industrial valley of Sheffield, fourteen-year-old Edward Vance carries the weight of a shattered family on his narrow shoulders. His home is a daily battleground of grinding poverty, debt, and the haunting trauma of a father broken by the First World War. To keep the bailiffs at bay and his younger siblings from freezing, Edward bleeds his youth away over scrubbing brushes, coal sacks, and dawn paper rounds. When a fleeting glimpse of silver Spitfires piercing the upper blue reveals a vision of freedom far above the filth of the earth, Edward makes a desperate, dangerous gamble. Armed with a stolen parish birth certificate, a forged signature, and a heart full of desperate resolve, he alters his age by four years and runs away to enlist in the Royal Air Force. Boarding an LNER corridor carriage into the cold English mist, he meets three other runaways hiding behind bravado and smoke rings: George, a plow-share-raised giant from Nottingham; Alfie, a sharp-tongued London dock worker; and Julian, a vicar's son who gets carsick on a bicycle. Bound together by deception, terror, and the fierce camaraderie of boys forced to become men, Edward and his new brothers hurtle toward a sky filled with fire, where they must discover if speed and altitude can truly outrun the ghosts of their past.

At 9:31 PM, he broke every promise he made to me. He once told me he would do anything to earn my forgiveness. He promised to love me more, cherish me, take care of me, and make up for every mistake he had made. I believed him. Then, with one unexpected message, he ended everything. And before I could even ask why, he blocked me. But how do you say goodbye to someone when you are still waiting for them to come back? This is the story of promises, second chances, unanswered messages, and a love that ended at exactly 9:31 PM. Maybe that was the moment our story ended. Or maybe-it was the moment mine finally began.

"He said he was going to visit his mother. He never came back." I was only a little girl when my father walked out of our lives. My brother and I spent years waiting for the day he would return, while our mother fought to raise us alone through unemployment, financial struggles, and heartbreak. We believed that one day he would remember us. Instead, when hope finally seemed within reach, he denied us and refused to acknowledge us as his children. The Weight of Absence is my true story, a memoir about growing up with an absent father, the invisible wounds abandonment leaves behind, and the extraordinary strength of a mother who never gave up. This is not a story about revenge. It is a story about survival, resilience, and finding the courage to turn pain into purpose. If you've ever felt abandoned, questioned your worth, or wondered how a parent's absence can shape a child's life, this story is for you. Based on a true story.

"Part reality, part imagination. This story is inspired by the real moments, distance, and devotion shared between my partner and me-blended with the 'what ifs' that haunted the spaces in between." Nineteen-year-old Rin is a ghost in two worlds. Stranded between her formative years in Davao and her new life in Hiroshima, her Japanese is hesitant, her heart is loud, and her UI/UX design layouts are a broken mess. Then comes Ren. A twenty-six-year-old systems architect, Ren is everything Rin isn't: meticulous, disciplined, and calm as cool water over river stones. Over quiet cafe sessions, napkin sketches, and walks along the Motoyasu River, he doesn't just teach her design hierarchy-he becomes her safe harbor in a city where she felt invisible. But life operates on strict logic. Bound to return to the Philippines to finish her degree at Ateneo de Davao, Rin wants a promise. Ren, knowing the heavy cost of waiting for a man an ocean away, gives her something harder instead: he lets her go so she can learn to fly on her own. Spanning four years, late-night coding sessions, silent social media views, and thousands of miles, [Title] is a deeply personal, slow-burn contemporary romance about finding your own voice, mastering your craft, and learning that true love doesn't anchor you down-it builds the bridge home. *Based on true events, personal memories, and alternate-timeline 'what ifs' (featuring two distinct endings). *Features two distinct endings (Path 1: Quiet Reunion / Path 2: Emotional Winter Solstice Redemption).

The Actual Fool is a bittersweet story about friendship, hesitation, and the kind of feelings that grow quietly while someone keeps insisting they're nothing more. Through missed chances, bad timing, Bushes, tarot cards, chaotic adventures, and one very persistent Blue Moon, the Fool learns that sometimes the hardest part isn't losing someone, but realizing you should have acted when certainty was standing right in front of you. In the end, there is no grand romance, only one final Lover-Man gesture: "Good afternoon. Good evening. And good night."
