A girl named Serena, around the age of 16 has a past life story in Miami about her dad who died but still doesn't know how it happened. Because of this, her mother, her two step siblings, Joe and Joanne and her have to move to California to live a new life but lucky for her, her best friend, Kimberly is moving too.
