Arthur Kirkland, a 23 year old bar tender, got himself in a dangerous situation when he fell in love with a wanted man, Alfred Jones. Alfred and his brother, Matthew Williams, have been on the run for years, now Arthur has them in his care and he doesn't know what to do.
Arthur's work partner, Francis Bonnefoy, helps with the casino they own and has an interest in Matthew, who's now been walking around with one of his jail friends, Gilbert, who escaped prison with him.
