When Talia was little she had tried her hardest to be friends with Emmit, but he ignored her. Then they started middle school and Emmit decided to acknowledge her, but not in the way she wanted. Emmit tormented Talia. He made everyone gang up on her. Talia couldn't stand it, so she asked her parents to send her to boarding school while they went to Russia. And at the same time Emmit was sent to go stay with his cousins in Indiana. Three years later Talia comes back home, new and improved.
