Danni Howard has never done anyone harm, nor does she ever intend to. She radiates purity and compassion. But, to her, ignorance is bliss. She doesn't know what she is getting herself into when she allows her paths to cross with Maximus Reed.

Maximus has lost all touch with indigenous human behavior. To him, the world revolves around lies, sex, and death. He views Danni as an untainted root for good will and he wants so badly to crush her.
