Description
Books are fantasy. But characters can be brought to life. Brittany Blaine is the school's newspaper reviewer of films and books. Every week she has a column in the Mayfield's Monarch, the school paper. Her next book to review is Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles. But at that same time, Mayfield High gets two new students in their midst. One boy named Jason McCann, half Mexican and his younger brother, Carlos McCann, fully Mexican. Brittany is in a spin when some of the occurrences in Perfect Chemistry begin to happen in real life, bringing her and Jason closer than she could ever imagine. She can't help but notice the perceptible similarities between Jason McCann and Alex Fuentes, the protagonist of the book Perfect Chemistry, and soon she believes he's an identical Alex. There's one most indistinguishable similarity: both Alex and Jason are in a gang, and it tears their relationships apart.
