Chapter 1

My name is Ellie. I am the daughter of Lord Henry and Lady Mary. I have an olser brother named Alston. I am 16. I live in one of the many manors in England. My mother tells me that I am to be married soon but I don't wish to be married yet. I want to live my life. I don't want to rush into all of that. I want to find the perfect man. I want a best friend. I have told my mother that I don't wish to marry till I am 20. is that to much to ask. "A woman must find a man and raise a family. If you are young your family will grow beyond belief." She tells me I always refuse and say to her, "I would rather be a serf!"
