Elizabeth and Erik are trying to cope with the death of their son, and get Elizabeth's career back on track. Erik has written more songs than ever about his son and his broken family.

Elizabeth is trying to care for her young daughter and her childhood plights, while also trying to remove her husband from his deep depression.

As Erik slowly regains his happiness, and perspective, a long gone reminder of his past returns to haunt him: Raoul. The couple finds a threaten note on their daughter's empty bed, but where she is, and what the motives were are unknown.
