She puts on a mask that portrays that she's happy and everything is fine. But that's just it, everything is "fine". She's lived her life in fear, no wonder that's her middle name. You could put a gun to her head and she would close her eyes and say, "finally." In his twisted mind, everyone makes themselves out to be something their not. Everyone is hiding something. Memories haunt him at night as well as his mother's screams as he stays awake. Their damaged kids in a damaged world. She's broken. He's bent.
