Timelines.

Rushing to save Amy, Jibanyan races across the street while the truck barrels forward. Suddenly time freezes and two unidentified Yo Kai try convincing Jibanyan not to save her.

Before he can object both Yo Kai are blasted away, and a bodiless voice speaks to Jibanyan.

afterwards Jibanyan is split into two, sent down two timelines. One where he saved Amy and one where he doesn't. He can switch between the two at will.

He is given one week to decide which timeline he wants to become reality. Whether he lets Amy perish or not.

He must decide whether he's Rudy or Jibanyan.
