Orphaned at a young age, she works hard with her three brothers to remain strong throughout the struggles they must endure in order to keep a roof over their heads. Her life isn't perfect but, she could care less, as long as she's with her brothers, nothing else matters. Kendra focuses on her studies in hopes that she can earn the education to help her family, not finding it necessary to expand her non-existent group of friends. Kendra doesn't mind staying in the shadows and keeping to herself if it means she can keep focused, and avoid any unwanted attention. Unfortunately, fate isn't on her side and she starts to realize that it's all too late. Her life starts to change with a drastic turn of events that all start because of a book. A book that fell out of her grasp.
