A Light Worth Saving

Sometimes to get through the bad, you have to be bad. That was my philosophy. I shut down life, never caring for what I did; living for the thrill, the moment.
I would say that that has all changed since I met her, but I'd be wrong. I thought that she was this annoying thing that wouldn't go away. My heart was cool, unwavering and cruel and would always be this way.
She was my light. As cheesy as that sounds, she was my light, warm, bright, embracing.
To tell you my story, we must delve into hers. After all, my heart only beats for her.
