Description
Ollie Warne is fresh out of nursing school and working his dream job as a paediatric nurse at London's St Cross Hospital, tending to sick children in the cardiology ward. Whilst on the night shift, Ollie is called to care for eight year old Daisy struggling after heart surgery. Her father, Jacob Mallone, never leaves her side apart from the times her mother comes to visit. Striking up a friendship based on sneaking takeaways into the ward, late night card playing and the occasional breaking up of domestic fights, Ollie begins to think there is more to Jacob than meets the eye. Having a track record of falling for the wrong man, Ollie adds this one to his list of no-go's. But Jacob seems to cling to Ollie, making it all the more difficult to convince himself that, this time, he won't feel a thing.
