Chapter 1: The Music Inside Me

Avea Carson is an eleven year old girl growing up in modern day New York. She loves to sing, but with her sister being the anchor for one of America's major news channels, it's hard for Avea to make herself known without being "Kaylee Carson's little sister". On top of all of this, Avea is failing her sixth grade science class and may not be allowed to perform in her school talent competition, in which she has a solo that she's been perfecting for months! Will Avea be able to shine in her own way and compete in her talent competition?
