Prologue

Fruit trees can live up to 75 years. A family had an idea, and wanted to start a tradition, that whenever someone in the family is born, a fruit tree is planted. The goal of the person being born, is to outlive the tree, and the family to take care of the tree until the child is old enough to move out and take the tree with them, and care for it.
But years have passed now, Audrey is tempted to keep her family tradition, but cheat. She wanted to kill the tree, then herself.
But all that changed when she met a boy, and she made the decision that if she finds a way to be with the boy that she will live as long as she can, but he has to take care of her tree.
