Companion is a partner, a mate, a friend, a lover. He/she could be anything depending on what the others what him/her to be.

Catherine is Cadis Etrama di Raizel's companion. She grows up with him and the closest friend that Raizel has ever had besides Muzaka. As His Companion, she supposed to accompany him but Raizel chose another course. She respects his wish and straightly obeys his request.
But of course, with the time elapsed, Raizel will need her back.
