"And how long do you think this job will last?" It was a dull and rainy Saturday afternoon. The stadium was abandoned. The luscious, untouched grass twinkled with thousands of tiny beads like a starry sky. Sunbeams breaking through grey spilled over the stadium walls; causing me to shadow my eyes as I gazed upon it. "I think I can make it work here." Eva, my unsupportive friend on the other end of the phone, had reason to be concerned. After fifteen jobs in my five years of working life, she wasn't the only one who'd lost faith in my abilities. It wasn't that I was not capable - I made beds just as neat as everyone else during my month of hotel housekeeping - I was just indecisive, maybe a little non-committal. Now, at 18 and with the last days of college on the horizon, it was time to find my track.
