Prologue

A month has passed since Castiel's and Lucifer's death. For Dean and Gabriel, Castiel's was a hard blow.

Sam probably missed Lucifer more than any of them.

Samuel had hated Lucifer for a day. But then Lucifer had explained his story, and Sam finally understood.

Gabriel was a shell of what he had once been. The deaths of two of his closest brothers, back to back, had taken a toll.

But Sam was working on bringing Gabriel back from the brink.
