Little Hope

What is with the painting at the end of the hall? Why is little princess Hope kept from it? Who was it made by? Most people in the kingdom claim it just showed up but is that even possible? and why are the people in the image always moving? Little hope is determined to find out what she doesn't realize is it will send her spiraling into a world she could never have imagined.
