Isabelle Maurn has never had a boyfriend. She has wanted one for as long as she can remember. And she really wanted Kyle Lane. When Kyle and Isabelle were younger, they were great friends. They shared their first kiss at age 10. Then things broke off as they entered middle school. Kyle became more popular, and started to be quite a player, well as much as a middle schooler can be. Iz wasn't a geek, but she wasn't the school slut either. Then, freshman year of High School came. Iz's best friend Courtney McDeve, or Court, finally got asked out by who she claims the love of her life, Josh DiRevelon. Court has been in love with him since as long as she can remember, and now the dream came true. But what high school story ever ends perfectly? Isabelle ends up losing her best friend, and potentially, the boy she's in love with. It's not like she ever had him, but now it seems like she doesn't have a chance.
